Terms of Use

1. About Tradecraft

Tradecraft is a private, member-only intelligence network for verified home-service businesses (“Members”). It enables Members to share and access structured operational signals about clients they have worked with directly.

Tradecraft is not a public review platform, a consumer reporting agency, a credit bureau, or a background-check service. Access is limited to verified businesses.

2. Eligibility

You may use Tradecraft only if you operate a legitimate home-service business, have completed and passed our verification process, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

3. Your obligations

As a Member, you agree to:

  • Submit only truthful, first-hand intelligence based on direct business interactions you personally experienced.
  • Not submit intelligence for retaliatory, competitive-disparagement, or harassment purposes.
  • Not use Tradecraft data to make or inform consumer credit, employment, housing, tenancy, insurance, or any other decision regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act or similar consumer-protection laws.
  • Not redistribute, resell, export, or share Tradecraft data outside the platform.
  • Immediately report any attempt to compromise the platform's integrity, including fabricated or fraudulent intel.
  • Keep your account credentials secure and notify us of unauthorized access.

4. Prohibited uses

You must not use Tradecraft to:

  • Harass, intimidate, or threaten any person or business.
  • Submit information obtained through unlawful means.
  • Impersonate another Member or business.
  • Interfere with or attempt unauthorized access to the platform.
  • Violate any applicable federal, state, or local law.

5. Intelligence submissions

When you submit structured intelligence, you represent that it is based on your first-hand experience and is truthful to the best of your knowledge. Severity-level claims (e.g., non-payment, misrepresentation) require supporting evidence; submissions without required evidence will not affect risk scores.

All submissions are reviewed by our moderation team and AI classifiers. We may reject, modify, or remove submissions that violate these Terms or that present unacceptable legal risk.

You retain ownership of the intelligence you submit, but grant Tradecraft a perpetual, irrevocable license to store, process, moderate, aggregate, and display it within the platform.

6. Risk scores and accuracy

Tradecraft risk scores are aggregate expressions of Member-submitted signals. They are decision-support tools, not determinations of fact, and are not consumer reports. Tradecraft does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any information. You are solely responsible for the business decisions you make.

7. Credits and billing

Credits are earned by submitting approved intelligence and may be spent on searches that exceed your monthly quota. Credits have no monetary value and are non-transferable. Subscription fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable except as required by applicable law.

8. Enforcement

Violations may result in account suspension or termination, forfeiture of credits, and legal action where appropriate.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TRADECRAFT DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TRADECRAFT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF $100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Florida.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms and will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

13. Member content and platform role

Tradecraft is an interactive computer service that hosts intelligence submitted by its Members. Members are solely responsible for the content they submit, including its accuracy, legality, and good faith. Under Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act (47 U.S.C. § 230), Tradecraft is not treated as the publisher or speaker of Member-submitted content.

Our moderation, classification, neutralization, or removal of submissions is undertaken in good faith to keep the network accurate and lawful. Such review does not make Tradecraft the author of Member content, nor does it waive any protection available to interactive computer services.
