Trust & safety

How Tradecraft protects the integrity of the network — and the privacy of the people it covers.

Verified members only

Every business on Tradecraft goes through a manual verification process before they can run a lookup or submit intel. We verify business identity, trade license, and insurance coverage. Unverified accounts have zero data access.

This is not a public review site. No anonymous submissions. No consumer-facing profiles. The network exists exclusively for verified contractors doing legitimate due diligence before committing to a project.

Structured signals, not freeform narratives

Members submit structured data — numeric ratings on dimensions like payment reliability, communication quality, and professionalism — rather than open-ended text. This reduces the surface area for emotional, defamatory, or harassing language.

Notes are optional and are passed through an AI neutralizer that strips emotional language, slurs, and third-party names before storage. The original text is retained only in an audit log for legal purposes and is never displayed to other Members.

Evidence-backed severity claims

Severity-level flags — non-payment, chargebacks, misrepresentation, threats — require uploaded documentary evidence (invoices, contracts, communications) to affect a client's risk score. A flag with no evidence is recorded but carries no scoring weight.

This prevents a Member from tanking a client's score with an unsubstantiated accusation.

Human moderation on every submission

Every submission goes through an AI classification pass (defamation risk, emotional language, unsupported accusations) followed by a human moderation review for anything that doesn't auto-approve cleanly. Moderators can approve, reject, request more information, or escalate.

Submitters receive email updates at each stage. Rejected submissions do not affect scores and are not visible to other Members.

No public profiles. No SEO exposure.

Client lookup pages carry a noindex, nofollow robots directive. Client data is never surfaced on a public-facing page, never exported in bulk, and never shared with third parties.

Tradecraft is explicitly not a consumer reporting agency and may not be used for employment, housing, credit, or insurance decisions. This prohibition is enforced in our Terms of Use.

Reporting concerns and exercising rights

Clients who appear in the network can submit a Data Subject Access Request to learn what data we hold, request corrections, or request deletion. Use our DSAR form or email privacy@cofabri.com. We respond within 45 days.

Members who believe a submission is false or retaliatory can report it to trust@cofabri.com. We will review and respond within 5 business days.

Security vulnerabilities can be disclosed to security@cofabri.com. We aim to acknowledge reports within 48 hours.
